ChrisXCreative — Chris Edwards, sole trader
Website: www.chrisxcreative.co.uk
Last updated: 21 October 2026 (the cookie list in section 5 updates automatically)
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Statement, which explains how we handle personal data more widely.
1. Who We Are
This website is run by Chris Edwards, trading as ChrisXCreative, Kidderminster, Worcestershire.
Correspondence address: Unit 154231, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL, United Kingdom

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. This policy also covers similar technologies that store or read information on your device, such as browser local storage and session storage, tracking pixels, scripts and tags, and embedded content from other websites (for example videos and maps). In this policy, “cookies” means all of these technologies where relevant.
- First-party cookies are set by this website. Third-party cookies are set by another company’s website or service, for example YouTube when you use an embedded video.
- Session cookies are normally deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set time or until you delete them.
3. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the website work and keep it secure, remember your choices, and provide features you request, such as live chat. With your consent, where required, we may also use them to understand how the website is used, display embedded content such as videos and maps, and measure advertising or marketing performance.
4. Categories of Cookies
| Category | What they do | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Make the website work and keep it secure, including maintaining a requested sign-in session, protecting forms from spam, supporting requested services and remembering your cookie choices. | No, but only where the cookie or technology is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested or for another applicable legal exemption. These cannot be disabled through our cookie settings where they are essential. |
| Functional | Remember preferences and provide optional features, such as certain embedded maps or other enhanced functionality. | Yes, where required by law. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve it. | Yes, where required by law. |
| Marketing | Support advertising measurement, marketing and relevant content, including technologies used by advertising or social media services. | Yes, where required by law. |
We only classify a cookie or similar technology as necessary when it meets the applicable legal exemption. A technology that is merely useful to us, or that helps us improve our services, is not automatically necessary.
5. The Cookies We Use
This list is generated from scans of our website and updates automatically when the cookies or technologies detected by the scanning system change. The list should identify the relevant cookie or technology, its provider, purpose, category and duration where that information is available.
Automated scans may not detect every cookie or technology in every circumstance. The list should therefore be considered alongside the consent controls and information provided by the relevant third-party services.
6. Third-Party Services
Our website may use third-party services to provide features such as reviews, videos, maps, live chat, analytics and marketing. The providers and services identified by our current website configuration are listed below.
No outside services were found in the latest scan.
Where a third-party service requires consent, we aim to prevent the relevant non-essential cookies, scripts and content from loading until you have given the required consent.
Embedded videos and maps that require consent may be replaced with a placeholder until you allow them. Where supported, you can allow an individual video or map without changing your other cookie settings.
Once a third-party service is enabled, that provider may receive technical information about your device and visit and may process it in accordance with its own privacy information. Please consult the relevant provider’s privacy policy for further details.
7. Your Consent
When you first visit, our cookie banner allows you to choose whether to accept non-essential cookies and similar technologies. Where consent is required, we will obtain it before placing or accessing information on your device through those technologies.
Our aim is to ensure that optional technologies are not enabled in advance and that analytics, marketing and consent-dependent embedded services do not load until you have given the required permission.
Consent must be a clear, informed and active choice. Simply continuing to browse the website does not constitute consent.
Our cookie banner provides options to Accept all, Reject all or Choose which to allow. Rejecting optional cookies should be as straightforward as accepting them, and you can use the website without accepting optional cookies, although some optional features may not be available.
Where our consent-management system supports Global Privacy Control (GPC), we will process a recognised signal in accordance with the applicable law and our consent configuration. We will not treat a GPC signal as consent to optional cookies.
8. Changing or Withdrawing Your Consent
You can change your choices or withdraw consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of our website, or by opening cookie settings now.
When you withdraw consent, we will stop relying on that consent for future use of the relevant technologies and, where technically possible, delete or disable the associated cookies and stop loading the relevant services. Information already collected by a third-party provider may not be capable of being recalled or deleted automatically through our cookie settings.
Our preferences window may display a consent ID that you can quote if you contact us about your choices.
9. Records of Your Choice
We may retain a record of your cookie choices to demonstrate how consent was obtained and to administer your preferences. Depending on the functionality of our consent-management system, this record may include a consent ID, date and time, categories selected, the relevant policy or configuration version and limited technical information used to associate or verify the record.
Where a pseudonymised value derived from your IP address is used, it is not necessarily anonymous. Hashing or otherwise transforming an IP address does not, by itself, mean that the resulting information can no longer be personal data. We will handle such information in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Consent records are normally retained for up to 2 years, subject to the configuration of the consent-management system and any applicable need to retain evidence for longer.
Your preferences may also be stored on your device using the cxc_consent cookie. The duration of that cookie depends on its configuration. When the stored choice expires, we may ask you to make a new choice.
10. Cookies and Personal Data
Some cookies and similar technologies involve personal data, such as an online identifier, device information or a cookie used to maintain a signed-in session. Where personal data is involved, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 apply alongside PECR, as applicable.
We obtain consent before placing or accessing non-essential cookies and similar technologies where PECR requires it. Where consent is also the lawful basis for processing the resulting personal data under the UK GDPR, we rely on that consent for the relevant processing.
Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent where the applicable legal exemption applies. Any personal data processed through them must still have an appropriate lawful basis under data protection law.
Further information about our purposes, lawful bases, retention periods, security measures and your rights is available in our Privacy Statement.
11. International Transfers
Some third-party services, including services provided by companies such as Google, Meta and Microsoft, may process personal data outside the United Kingdom, depending on the service and configuration in use.
Where a restricted transfer of personal data applies, we will rely on an applicable UK adequacy regulation, an appropriate safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or UK Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism permitted by UK data protection law.
The applicable transfer arrangements depend on the provider, the service and the data concerned. Further information is available in our Privacy Statement and, where relevant, the provider’s privacy information.
12. How Long Information Is Kept
The duration of individual cookies and similar technologies is shown in section 5 where that information is available.
Personal data associated with cookies, live chat and other website features is retained in accordance with our Privacy Statement. Records of cookie choices are normally retained for up to 2 years, as described in section 9.
13. Browser Controls
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their privacy settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of this website, such as the client portal, from working correctly.
Browser settings are an additional option and do not replace the cookie choices available through our website. Use our cookie settings to manage the optional technologies controlled by our consent-management system.
14. Changes to This Policy
We scan our website regularly. The cookie list and services in sections 5 and 6 are intended to update automatically when detected cookies or configured services change.
Automated scans may not identify every technology or change immediately. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that our cookie information and consent controls reflect the technologies actually used on the website.
If we introduce a new analytics, marketing or embedded service that requires consent, we will ensure the necessary consent is obtained before that service is activated. If we make other significant changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page.
15. Contact and Data Protection Complaints
If you have questions about cookies, your consent choices or how we use personal data, contact ChrisXCreative at hello@chrisxcreative.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can make a data protection complaint by emailing us at the address above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed of progress where appropriate, and communicate the outcome without undue delay.
If you remain dissatisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.
