❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How much does WordPress maintenance cost?
Ongoing updates and maintenance is £30 per month. If you’d like us to host your site too, hosting is £20 per month, including SSL, email, daily backups and support. New pages and larger changes are quoted separately — additional pages start from £30.
Can you take over a site someone else built?
Yes — you don’t need to have built your site with us to get ongoing support from us. We’re happy to take over maintenance on an existing WordPress site, wherever it came from.
What if my site hasn't been updated in a long time?
That’s common, and it’s exactly the kind of situation we can help with — we’ll check what’s outdated, get everything current safely, and set up ongoing maintenance so it doesn’t happen again.
Do I need to understand WordPress myself?
No — the whole point of ongoing support is that you don’t have to. We handle the technical side and explain anything relevant in plain English.
Is hosting included, or just maintenance?
We can provide both together or maintenance alone if you’re happy with your current host — whichever suits your situation better.
Who looks after the security of my site?
Chris does, personally. He holds an Ofqual-regulated NCFE Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Cyber Security and a Cisco cybersecurity badge, and has a professional background in data protection and GDPR compliance.
What happens if my site goes down or gets hacked?
Uptime is monitored around the clock, so we usually know before you do. Daily backups mean your site can be restored, and we’ll find and fix the cause rather than just patching the symptoms.
The Loading Speed Race
A big chunk of visitors give up on a slow site before it even finishes loading. Here's what that difference actually looks like.
Illustrative example, not a live benchmark of any specific product - real load times vary by site, hosting and content. Based on typical, well-documented patterns: heavier, less optimised builds generally load slower than lean, purpose-built ones.
